Introducing Apostra

September 23, 2026

Scope3 is becoming Apostra.

Apostra gives advertisers and their agents direct access to everywhere brands can reach consumers.

It starts with a simple belief. Brands grow to mean far more than the products and services they give their name to. That meaning is why we reach for one brand over another without stopping to think twice about it. And it's what sets the world's most unmistakable brands apart from the rest — built one distinctive touch point at a time.

Advertising exists to build on that meaning, carrying a brand's intent into every moment and place that matters, whether that's a podcast, CTV break, billboard, social feed, or newsletter.

Too often, however, a campaign brief gets reduced as it moves from intent to execution. The ambition, context, creativity, and guardrails that make a brand distinctive are stripped away along the way, until what reaches the consumer can look very different from what the brand set out to achieve.

We built Apostra to close that gap, so humans and their agents can make advertising as unmistakable as the brands behind it.

What we've been building

Brands need agents that can understand their intent. But agents need somewhere to go.

Apostra gives advertisers, media companies, and their agents one place to buy and sell every kind of advertising, anywhere in the world. From digital, social, and television to audio, outdoor, print, and whatever comes next.

It's built on AdCP, the open protocol we helped create that lets agents talk to each other. Instead of forcing every opportunity through the same narrow set of pipes, agents can connect directly, bringing the context they have on both sides with them.

Advertisers bring what they want to achieve, defining their objectives, audiences, budgets, and guardrails in a brief. Media companies bring what they have to offer, including everything they sell and everything they know about their audiences and environments. Apostra brings those two sides together, giving people and their agents the ability to discover and act on more of what's possible with human judgment and expertise at the center.

Today, campaigns are live on Apostra across markets around the world, including the US, UK, South Africa, Brazil, the Netherlands, and France, spanning display, CTV, audio, and out-of-home, with more surfaces coming online.

A better way to buy advertising

Give your agent what you want to achieve, who you want to reach, what you want to spend, and the context and guardrails that make your brand yours. Then let it explore what's possible.

That might mean finding the obvious places you already know. But it can also mean discovering opportunities you never would have thought to look for: a podcast your audience loves, a billboard in exactly the right place, a publisher with a uniquely relevant audience, or a sponsorship that puts your brand inside a moment that matters.

Because agents can understand each of those opportunities on its own terms, they don't all have to be reduced to the same generic unit to be considered together. Your agent can weigh the audience, environment, context, creative possibilities, data, and value of each against the intent of your brief, then bring back a portfolio of opportunities that makes sense for your brand.

You stay in control of what happens next. Set the budgets, exclusions, and approval thresholds your agent operates within, and decide what it can act on and what comes back to you.

The result is more of what's possible in front of you, without losing the intent that got you there.

A better way to sell advertising

Media companies have always had more to sell than buyers know to ask for.

An audience isn't just a demographic. A podcast isn't just an audio impression. A publisher or influencer might have a trusted voice, a loyal community, first-party insight, an iconic moment, a brilliant idea for a partnership, or an opportunity that has never existed before because nobody thought to ask for it.

Apostra gives media companies and their agents a way to make more of that discoverable.

Create a storefront and give an agent the context of your business: what you sell, who you reach, what makes your environments valuable, how you package and price opportunities, and the rules you want it to work within.

Then, when an advertiser's brief arrives, your agent can do more than match it against a catalogue of inventory. It can understand what the advertiser is trying to achieve and respond with the opportunities that make sense, whether that's an existing format, a combination of media, a sponsorship, or something more bespoke.

That means buyers can discover more of what makes your business valuable, even when they didn't know to look for it. And you can find demand for opportunities that might otherwise never have made it onto the media plan.

You stay in control of your pricing, packaging, and relationships. Your agent simply gives more of what you have to offer the chance to be considered.

Turning toward what's possible

The name Apostra comes from apostrophē, the Greek word for a turning away: the moment a speaker turns from the expected address and speaks directly to the audience.

For us, it's a turn away from how advertising has been assembled before, and toward what becomes possible when brands, media companies, and their agents can connect directly.

Because that's ultimately what we're building toward. Advertising where a brand's intent can travel further without losing its meaning. Where media companies can make more of what they have to offer discoverable. Where agents can open up possibilities neither side knew to look for, while people remain firmly in control.

Advertising as unmistakable as the brands behind it.
